Well ironically after we stated at the end of 2023 that we planned on pushing more regular updates we instead found a way to push fewer. We took on a few larger projects that consumed dramatically more time that we aren’t ready to talk about yet, but hopefully soon we’ll be able to reveal the fruits of those labours. But until we’re ready to show off our new toys we’ve got some excellent new features to help hold everyone over.
Ford Instrument Cluster Reading/Writing BETA Update
We first implemented the Ford Instrument Cluster Reading/Writing BETA at the end of last year that allowed for the reading and writing of EEPROMs of instrument clusters without disassembly of them. Previously we had only supported 2 instrument clusters with this which were the 2015-2020 Ford F150 XL instrument cluster and the 2015-2020 Ford F150 XLT instrument cluster. We’re happy to announce that we’ve now added support for all 2015-2020 Ford F150s to this BETA. Through our continued testing we’ve worked out the vast majority of the kinks with this feature and will be pursuing the expansion of it to include Denso produced instrument clusters using the SPC+93C86 platform in Ford vehicles very soon as they generally outnumber the Visteon produced instrument clusters from the 2013-2019 Model Years.
